ANSWERS, WITHOUT THE GUESSWORK

Questions, clearly answered.

A practical guide to how EDB works with brands, purchases inventory and manages its wider routes to market.

01

Working with EDB

The business, the people we work with and the relationships we want to build.

What does EDB Exclusives do?

EDB Exclusives is a UK-based wholesale, distribution and product-procurement business. We purchase selected consumer products into our own inventory, respond to defined sourcing requirements from business customers and manage delivered onward supply through appropriate business and retail channels.

Who does EDB purchase from?

Our primary focus is building direct, long-term purchasing relationships with brands and manufacturers. We may also consider appropriate opportunities through appointed distributors or established wholesale suppliers.

What makes EDB different from a broker or buying group?

EDB purchases and owns the stock it orders. We are not introducing buyers for commission, coordinating a buying group or asking suppliers to manage a network of marketplace sellers.

Will I be dealing directly with the decision-maker?

Yes. Supplier discussions and purchasing decisions are handled directly by founder Russ Britton, providing clear communication and continuity as the relationship develops.

Are you an authorised or exclusive distributor?

Any formal appointment, territory or distribution status depends on the individual agreement with the supplier. EDB only describes itself as authorised, official or exclusive where that position has been expressly agreed.

02

Purchasing and supply

How products are selected, purchased, handled and supplied onward.

What product categories do you consider?

We are not restricted to a single category. Opportunities are assessed individually, considering customer demand, product suitability, wholesale terms, operational requirements and overall commercial fit.

Do you purchase inventory outright?

Yes. EDB purchases agreed inventory outright through conventional wholesale arrangements, taking ownership of the stock and responsibility for its onward distribution.

How do initial orders and replenishment work?

We begin with a commercially sensible initial order based on the products and terms agreed. Where demand and trading conditions support it, we place replenishment orders and may explore additional products within the supplier’s range.

How are storage, handling and fulfilment managed?

We work with professional fulfilment partners to receive, prepare and distribute inventory as required. This supports responsible product handling and onward supply, with arrangements suited to each commercial opportunity.

Does EDB offer product procurement for businesses?

Yes. Retailers and other business customers can contact EDB with defined product, brand, category or ongoing supply requirements. We assess sourcing routes, availability, quantities and commercial viability before confirming whether we can provide a suitable solution.

Can customers collect orders or visit a warehouse?

EDB operates on a delivered-supply basis. Stock handling and dispatch are managed through professional fulfilment partners, with orders sent to the customer’s nominated business address. We do not offer customer collection or access to a public warehouse facility.

Who do you supply?

Our business-to-business focus includes independent physical retailers, specialist shops and other consumer-facing businesses. Selected direct-to-consumer retail channels may also be used where appropriate.

Do you publish a wholesale catalogue?

Product availability and sourcing enquiries are handled directly rather than through a public online catalogue. Retailers and other business customers are welcome to contact EDB to discuss their requirements.

03

Marketplace and pricing

How selective online retail supports the wider business without defining it.

Does EDB sell through online marketplaces?

Yes. Selected marketplace channels form one part of our wider retail activity. Marketplace sales are a secondary capability within the business, with channel selection based on the product, commercial opportunity and the nature of the supplier relationship.

How does EDB approach retail pricing?

EDB independently determines its resale prices in accordance with UK competition law. We consider recommended retail positioning, market demand, existing distribution and long-term brand value when making commercial decisions.

Do you need access to a brand’s marketplace account?

No. EDB operates through its own retail accounts and takes responsibility for the inventory it purchases. Any separate request involving brand permissions would be discussed openly and agreed in advance.

04

Starting a conversation

What to expect when exploring a potential working relationship.

What information is helpful when making contact?

An overview of your business, product range and wholesale terms is a useful starting point. If you already have details on minimum order quantities, pricing or trade account requirements, these can also help us assess the opportunity.

Are you looking for short-term deals or ongoing relationships?

Our focus is on dependable, long-term relationships with brands and manufacturers. Initial orders are approached carefully, with repeat purchasing and wider range development considered where the commercial relationship supports it.

How can retailers enquire about product availability?

Independent retailers and specialist businesses can contact EDB directly to discuss current availability or a defined procurement requirement. Please include the products, brands or categories required, likely quantities, timing and delivery destination. Enquiries are reviewed personally.
